It’s that time people..time to announce our Porn Star of the YEAR here at The Swanky Blog. Our choice for our pick of the year, wasn’t as easy as some thought it would be. Some names that got tossed around were: Riley Steele, Jesse Jane, Tori Black, Raylene, Jenna Haze, Alexis Texas and many others. After reviewing AVN award nominations, as well as many, many hours of personal…research…We came to this decision. Andy San Dimas congratulations on being the very first Porn Star of the Year at TheSwankyBlog.
San Dimas was born in Baltimore, Maryland. She worked at an adult video store at the age of 18 prior to entering the pornography industry. She contacted director,Eon Mckai, through a message on MySpace with only a naked picture of herself after seeing several ads for his movies in magazines at the store. He recruited her into the industry, and she debuted in his movie, Dana DeArmond’s Role Modeling in December 2007.
Her stage name is from the town and high school featured in Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey.
She and Bobbi Starr appeared in the movie adaptation of James Sallis’s novel, Drive. The movie was directed by Nicolas Winding Refn and was released in 2011. Her first credit in a mainstream production came in a 19 minute horror-comedy short Night of the Punks playing a small role alongside actors such as Luke Edwards and John Bobek.
In 2011, she was featured in Asking Alexandria’s video “To The Stage“.
